If you have the perk from the challenge tomb that reveals an animal's heart, double shot and triple shot automatically targets the heart (useful if going for the achievement). Also useful for hitting single targets on the move (like rabbits). Salo 6 years ago #3.

Aim at a target and charge your shot. A red marker will show over the target, indicating that the target is locked. Then, while still holding the charge shot, you can move your reticle over another target until that target is locked on.

Double shot is a skill from the second tier of the hunter upgrades in rise of the tomb raider. It enables lara to simultaneously fire two arrows at separate targets that have previously been locked while zoomed in with a fully drawn bow. The double shot skill is useful for smaller groups of enemies as it enables lara to stealthily.
