The 3000 is technically the better system. Its thinner and lighter, has a more responsive display, more ram, a built in microphone, can charge over usb and has tv out. The 3000 is a good pick if you want to hook it up to a tv with an av hookup.
I mean, if you really don't care about the severe hardware downgrade between the 2 and it's a big enough price gap then sure, i guess get the e1004. But, if there isn't too much of a price gap, i would 100% go with the 3000 model. The e1000's are known as the worst model of psp.
They were made as a budget psp and it greatly shows.
